--Divide Light (opera)

Program: WORLD PREMIERE. Divide Light is a new opera based on the poetry of Emily Dickinson. The work began as an interdisciplinary collaboration between New York visual and performance artist Lesley Dill and Colorado composer and conductor Tom Morgan. The project has expanded to include a number of additional collaborators, including Philadelphia-based stage director Eleanor Holdridge and the San Francisco-based Del Sol String Quartet.

Divide Light is commissioned by Montalvo Arts Center, and supported in part by grants from the Rockefeller Foundation Multi Arts Production Fund, The William and Flora Hewlett Foundation, The David and Lucile Packard Foundation and the National Endowment for the Arts.
