“Angel Island: In Sight 2021” is a visual storytelling project focused on Angel Island. The general public is invited to help to create a collective portrait of Angel Island by sharing their views of the island – from near and far, past and present.

The Angel Island Insight digital gallery will be established to display these photo contributions from the public together with images by featured photographers who have documented Angel Island’s natural and cultural history, with images by Lenore Chinn, Imogen Cunningham, Arthur Genthe, Christine Huhn, Eadweard Muybridge, Mark Shigenaga, and The Jade Snow Wong Family.

Digital images from gallery will be shared with audiences across the United States in future performances of “Angel Island Oratorio” by Del Sol Quartet.
