Jonah Gallagher, Managing Associate
Before there was SF, there was:
CHICAGO! ...or at least the suburbs of. After high school I went on to receive my undergraduate and graduate degrees in Music Composition from Biola University and the San Francisco Conservatory of Music respectfully.
Music seemed to be the only thing I ever really considered. When I found out that there wasn’t just a bunch of dead guys that wrote music but a vibrant and competitive universe of people still writing interesting music, I just felt compelled to try to enter into that world.
You’re a nerd.
I make hand-crafted tobacco pipes, love Dungeons and Dragons, and am a collector and drinker of whisk(e)y.
Where are you going on your dream 3-month vacation?
West coast of Ireland, spending the majority of my time in Doolin. I’d spend a lot of time at O’Connor’s pub, the Cliffs of Moher and the Roadside Tavern. If you ever have the chance, go there and say hello to Peter Curtain for me. He’ll spin you yarn after yarn about things you didn’t know you had an immense interest in.
Who is your favorite quartet member?
Corwyn, she really holds the group together. In all seriousness though, I am immensely thankful for each member of the quartet. Not everyone gets to work with dear friends.
